Jellybean Taste Lab

Students randomly pick 6 jelly beans to sample. They bring the jelly beans to their desk with the worksheet and draw picture of each jellybean. Next they taste one jelly bean at a time. They make a happy face if they like it and the sad faces they don't. Students make a guess as to what it tastes like and then check their answers with the packaging from the jelly bean container. It was a blast!

Would you rather?

Would you rather? A FUN writing activity!

My class absolutely loved this writing activity. I randomly handed out my "Would you rather?" writing prompt sheets. Students loved being surprised on the topic which they were going to write about. First, I demoed the activity with my own writing prompt. I had to answer the question of- Would you rather fly or be invisible ? I decided flying would be more thrilling :) Then, I demonstrated the writing process. They were not allowed to have any of the words misspelled which where originally found on their question card. I also required that each student was to write an explanation for their pick and this meant using the word "because." The finally project was adorable! I am going to hang them up on their lockers for the rest of school to see. You can find this item at my TPT store:   Would you rather? Creative writing prompts
