Miss Moo's Lego Car

Students were asked to be engineers and construct a Lego car to for Miss Moo. Students gave their car a push and we recorded the distance. The farthest distance was 21 feet! The students loved it. Miss Moo has become more than a mascot in our classroom, she is a friend for my students :)

Science bulletin board

Gross S cience Labs I have a bulletin board in my classroom w hi ch I have turned into a n investigative science center. All materials for the lab are at the station . Students conduct the investigation alone and record their results. I try to change my sci ence board monthly.    1. Sweet T reats Candy Lab Using Halloween candy, stude nts ma de predictions and observations on w e ther their candy would sink or float. Stude nts recorded data a nd reported their results after everyone fini shed.       2. Bu ggy Friends Lab Stu dents researched insects a nd recorded facts and details. The final project was an informative writing with a cr ayon resist watercolor p icture .     3. Marble Race This has been such a fun investigation! Each student constructs a track and preforms trial runs. I placed magnets on the back of foam tubes which are cut in half. This allows the students the to freely move the track pieces around. The goal is to use all the track pieces
