Lessons in Grossology

The purpose: -   Write with expression and voice -   Practice organizing thoughts -   Write a detailed & short fictional story -   Generate story ideas from an illustration Directions: -   Give students the illustration page. Allow time for the students to examine the picture and read the writing questions. Students will write a mini story and add words to the talking bubble. Then, the student can color the illustration and add extra drawing details. What’s Included? -   This packet includes 6 mini stories. Each story includes an illustration page and writing paper. In this unit students are using their science process skills to explore their 5 senses. Each sense has a classroom lab and a take-home lab. It allows for parent involvement at home! Introducing my new math game: Adding up Quacks Students work with a partner while practicing addition, subtraction and number ordering skills.
