Gross S cience Labs I have a bulletin board in my classroom w hi ch I have turned into a n investigative science center. All materials for the lab are at the station . Students conduct the investigation alone and record their results. I try to change my sci ence board monthly. 1. Sweet T reats Candy Lab Using Halloween candy, stude nts ma de predictions and observations on w e ther their candy would sink or float. Stude nts recorded data a nd reported their results after everyone fini shed. 2. Bu ggy Friends Lab Stu dents researched insects a nd recorded facts and details. The final project was an informative writing with a cr ayon resist watercolor p icture . 3. Marble Race This has been such a fun investigation! Each student constructs a track and preforms trial runs. I placed magnets on the back of foam tubes which are cut in half. This allows the students the to freely move the track pieces around.
