Writing with Talking Bubbles


The purpose:

-  Write with expression and voice
-  Practice organizing thoughts
-  Write a detailed & short fictional story
-  Generate story ideas from an illustration

Directions:
-  Give students the illustration page. Allow time for the students to examine the picture and read the writing questions. Students will write a mini story and add words to the talking bubble. Then, the student can color the illustration and add extra drawing details.

What’s Included?

-  This packet includes 6 mini stories. Each story includes an illustration page and writing paper. You can copy the two pages back to back or leave them separate.
